A K Dolven
Dolven’s work presents the viewer with apparently everyday scenes that demonstrate that nothing in life is ordinary, often placing a person in an unexpected setting, or depicting them undertaking an extraordinary action. She is a keen observer of cultural traces, both contemporary and inherited.
In 2001 Film and Video Umbrella worked with AK Dolven on the film work ‘It Could Happen To You’, which was accompanied by a publication of the same name. The work toured to South London Gallery, Northern Gallery of Contemporary Art, Sunderland and Site Gallery, Sheffield.
