Clive Gillman

Clive Gillman’s artistic practice is primarily in the area of new and emerging media, and he works with sound, computers and photography as well as moving image media. In addition to being an artist, Gillman is the Director of Dundee Contemporary Arts, Scotland, and was instrumental in the foundation of other arts and media initiatives in the UK, including FACT in Liverpool.

Gillman was commissioned by Film and Video Umbrella in 1998, and made ‘Heliotrope’, an interactive installation. This was exhibited at Cartwright Hall, Bradford and Bute Street Arts and Media Centre, Luton.

His work has been shown in numerous public spaces, as well as galleries including Focal Point Gallery, Southend-on-Sea; Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool; and Casa das Artes, Vigo, Spain.
