An offshoot of Michael Curran and Imogen Stidworthy’s installation project of the same name, this artists’ book/DVD combination features a parallel text (part commentary, part fiction) by the writer Chris Darke, plus artists’ notes, location photographs and other background material, all assembled in an evocative pocket-book miscellany that captures the restless, investigative spirit of the piece itself. An expanded version of ‘Closing/Close By’ is included on the accompanying DVD, complete with ‘extras’ such as multiple audio streams, alternative angles etc.
