‘The City in the City’ is a special programme of artists’ films and videos presented by FVU as the first partner in the new Art on the Underground project on Canary Wharf Screen. The programme features five artists’ works and is currently showing ‘Hold Your Ground’ by Karen Mirza & Brad Butler

Luke Fowler, 2012
Fowler’s new film tracing E. P. Thompson’s influence on the post-war cultural scene launches at The Hepworth, Wakefield on 23 June.
This new publication revolves around two key works by Shona Illingworth, ‘The Watch Man’ and ‘Balnakiel’. The book investigates themes of memory, history and place, and features texts by Professor Martin A. Conway, Dr Caterina Albano, Jill Bennett and Steven Bode.

Duncan Campbell: Solo exhibition at Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh
This comprehensive exhibition features screen prints created specifically for the walls of the museum's Forum Gallery, as well as three of Campbell's films including 'Make it New John' as commissioned by FVU in 2009. This exhibition will run from April 28 until July 8.

Anarcadia Ruth Maclennan
Published to coincide with the 'Anarcadia' film project in 2011, this is the first major publication on Ruth Maclennan’s work. The book profiles the artist’s videos and photographs, shot in Kazakhstan, which chart a territory somewhere between fiction and documentary.
