Open House

The FVU team will be on hand the first Wednesday of each month between 2-5pm for free informal advice sessions online. If you are an artist, writer, curator or other professional who works with the moving-image in whatever capacity, and based in the UK, we will make ourselves available to speak with you for 20-minute appointments. These conversations might range from feedback on existing work, to discussing ideas for future projects, or, as well as practical tips on application writing or drawing up a production budget, to other more general production, post-production and presentation advice, including technical AV queries and suggestions on getting your work promoted and seen.

If you would like to take us up on this offer, please send an email to to book in a time. In your email please briefly outline what you would like to talk about, and we will assign the most relevant team member to speak with you over Zoom for a 20-minute session. If you would like feedback on existing work, please send us a link to view the work well in advance of your session. We will only feedback on one work per session, up to a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
