Imran Perretta has been nominated for the Jarman Awards 2019. This prestigious award, which takes its name from the visionary British filmmaker Derek Jarman, recognises and supports artists working with the moving image with a £10,000 prize.
A screening programme showing work by the 2019 shortlisted artists will tour to cultural venues throughout the UK, and will culminate in an extended two-day programme of expanded events at London's Whitechapel Gallery over the weekend of 16-17 November.
Imran Perretta's 15 days addresses some of the imagery and discourse around the refugee crisis in Europe, looking at the situation from the point of view of an individual living in limbo on the border of northern France.
