Event overview

The Jerwood\/FVU Awards 2022 premieres two newly commissioned moving-image works by artists Soojin Chang and Michael in this edition of JERWOOD LATES.

For these commissions, both artists have approached ideas of kinship, creation and inclusion. Soojin Chang’s film BXBY is a radical, semi-fictional work which explores the fusion of interspecies life, and Michael.’s film cleave to the BLACK depicts through the form of a moving-image triptych, the continuing legacy of Black male experience.

The Jerwood/FVU Awards 2022 are a collaboration between Jerwood Arts and Film and Video Umbrella, in partnership with Leeds Art Gallery.
