Clio Barnard's Dark Glass will be screened on 15 July 2016 at Backlit in Nottingham, as part of Programme 2 of Moving Pictures: Artists' Films from the Film London Jarman Award.
Using a single shot, Dark Glass ambles through the murk of ambivalent memories to meet recalled characters, scenes and spaces. The narrative is led by an audio performance which reconstructs a hypnosis session, both corresponding and contradicting what we see.
Dark Glass was commissioned by FVU. Funded by Arts Council England and the UK Film Council’s New Cinema Fund.
