New on FVU Watch: Prime Time (2017) by Rob Crosse

We are delighted to be featuring Rob Crosse's FVU-commissioned work Prime Time on FVU Watch this month! Prime Time follows a group of older gay men as they journey on a cruise ship around the Caribbean. Members of a social network of so-called ‘Prime Timers’, they regularly get together on excursions of this type, to renew acquaintances, re-affirm the bonds of belonging to a supportive community, and rekindle a little itch of adventure.

Open Now: A major new commission by Naeem Mohaiemen

Presented in London by Artangel, Naeem Mohaiemen's THROUGH A MIRROR, DARKLY revisits the turbulent 1970s, a decade of hopeful rebellions and catastrophic disappointments. For his new film, Mohaiemen focuses on a flashpoint in time: May 1970, when American students protesting domestic racism and overseas wars were met by state violence.
